With help from Bruce Mau and his “Manifesto for Growth” we at Farfar Academy have chosen some of his most inspiring words of wisdom. For us it means to always go further to where no one has gone before. To never stop asking our selves if this is the best we can do. The future is already here and we are not impressed.

No is not an option.

Keep every door open to any suggestion or invitation. You never know where you might end up. Or where it might lead.

Stand on someone's shoulder.

There is no reason to reinvent the wheel. Take advantage of your peers accomplishments instead.

Make your own tools.

Everyone knows that a hammer can be used to do more than nailing. But what if you were to create a whole new tool. Imagine the creations. Now that's innovation!

Love your experiments (as you would an ugly child).

Discover how far you can go when you are the one who sets the rules. Feel the freedom of trial and error.

Break it, stretch it, bend it, crush it, crack it, fold it.

Always.

Remember.

In order to create the future, you have to know the past.

Think with your mind.

Don't rely on Google everytime.

Stay up late.

Amazing things happen when you've gone too far, been up too long or worked too hard.
